At Ravi Sarin Film Institute (RSFI), we offer industry-focused filmmaking training with 100% student support and placement assistance. Our programs are designed to go beyond classroom learning, giving students hands-on experience through live film projects, real movie productions, and on-set training. Under the guidance of experienced industry professionals, students actively work on short films, scenes, and live production environments, gaining practical exposure to the real filmmaking process. RSFI prepares aspiring filmmakers for successful careers in films, OTT platforms, television, web series, and digital media, ensuring every student is equipped with the skills, confidence, and industry readiness required to succeed.
With our one-year Diploma in Filmmaking, students receive hands-on training in camera composition, visual effects, lighting, color grading, sound design, and so on. The Diploma course in filmmaking follows a 70:30 model, with 70% practical learning and 30% dedicated to written assessments, strategic thinking, and critical analysis.
At RSFI, the One-Year Filmmaking Diploma course is led by a distinguished team of educators and active industry professionals involved in national and international event projects.

The Diploma in Filmmaking at RSFI focuses on immersive, hands-on training through structured camera workshops, lighting exercises, and guided on-set practice. Students are introduced to both the technical and creative aspects of cinematography, gaining proficiency in working with DSLR and cinema cameras, lenses, and professional lighting setups. The programme integrates real-world assignments, industry exposure, and a final showreel project, enabling students to confidently apply their skills across films, television, OTT platforms, and advertising productions.

Mr. Vinesh Kumar is an accomplished Film Maker and Photographer with over 25 years of extensive experience in Film Making, TV Production, Digital Photography, Journalism, and Mass Communication. With a strong blend of professional and freelance industry exposure, he also brings more than 15 years of teaching experience, mentoring students with a practical, industry-driven approach.
His expertise spans the complete creative pipeline, including Pre-Production, Production, Post-Production, and Programming across Digital Media, Films, Television, and Digital Photography. Vinesh Kumar is highly skilled in conceptualization and direction, enabling him to create impactful fiction and non-fiction TV programs, documentaries, corporate films, and TV commercials (TVCs). He is known for his strong visualization skills and his ability to deliver compelling final outputs integrating graphics, animation, video, and sound effects.

Vinesh Kumar is a highly experienced Film Maker and Photographer with over 25 years of industry experience across Film Making, Television Production, Digital Photography, Journalism, and Mass Communication. He holds a Master’s degree in Journalism & Mass Communication along with a Post Graduate Diploma from IGNOU and professional training from the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune. His extensive professional journey includes work in pre-production, production, and post-production across films, television, digital media, documentaries, corporate films, and TV commercials. With over 15 years of teaching experience, he brings strong conceptualization, direction, and visualization skills, mentoring students with practical, industry-oriented knowledge and real-world insights.
